MadBull Airsoft Troy Parts in FDE

I’ll admit, I’ve been sitting on these MadBull Airsoft Troy Parts for quite some time now. If you’re married with children and a small business to run, then you know how these things go. Anyway, MadBull has a bunch of new stuff out with the Troy Industries branding on it and I think it’s safe to say that your rifle has the right to remain sexy. Was that too weird to say?

The four items we’ll be staring at today are the MadBull Troy Battle Ax CQB Grip, MadBull Troy Battle Ax M4 Stock, SOCOMGear Troy BattleMag 190-rd Midcap Magazine, and my personal favorite, the MadBull Troy TRX RIS, 9″ version. All excluding the BattleMag are in the new “Tantastic” Flat Dark Earth (FDE) colorway.

I have installed these parts on the ever-so-glorious Echo1 Platinum M4 AEG by VFC, because you don’t put Ferrari parts on a Datsun (No offense to Datsun owners). So let’s get right into this shall we?

Troy Battle Ax CQB Grip – MadBull Airsoft Troy Parts

Feast upon the glory below and thou shalt see Troy CBIR markings in a sea of scales. Details. Thine importance is tremendous.

This grip is AEG-specific, meaning you probably aren’t going to be able to use it on a gas blowback rifle (GBBR), but that doesn’t mean it’s not awesome. The one thing I noticed about it right off the bat was that it’s smaller than the grips I’m normally used to. In fact, it’s so small that you can’t run a standard, long-type motor in it. You have to run a medium-type motor in it. Luckily, MadBull is offering a combo pack where you get the grip and a medium motor together. You can see in the image below that someone finally figured out that our hot motors need ventilation after heavy use of the trigger, so they’ve added ventilation ports wherever possible. Other than that, that’s all I have to say on the matter.

Please direct your attention to the rear of this lovely young lady. Don’t worry, she won’t mind. I mean, seriously. Look how she’s dressed. She’s practically asking for it.

Yea. That’s right. She’s got that MadBull Troy Battle Ax Stock on and she wants to world to know about it.

Just look at all the places she’ll attach your sling. What a dirty girl.

Did I mention she’s the type who’s down to let you put your junk in her trunk?

She doesn’t mind if your wiring is a bit on the short side, either. She always has a little something extra if you need the added length.

The Troy CBIR trampstamp might as well be a bullseye.

SOCOMGear Troy BattleMag – 190-Round Midcap Magazine – MadBull Airsoft Parts

I feel the need…the need to feed!!! So if you’re tired of running around with PMags & EMags and looking like everybody else on the field, the SOCOMGear Troy BattleMag Midcap is definitely an option you’ll want to consider. They carry the signature, Troy textured scales, along with the CBIR trades. The magazine holds 190 rounds and, therefore, puts it on the top end of the micap category, as far as Airsoft goes. It feeds well in my Echo1 Platinum M4 and it looks good. I don’t know about you, but that’s about all I need from my mags.

Troy TRX 9″ RIS in Flat Dark Earth (FDE/Tan) – MadBull Airsoft Parts

Ah yes. M’lady TRX. Basking in the soft light of my Alien Bees strobe. My God. She’s breath-taking, is she not? Three things you should know about her: Lightweight aluminum. Modular. Easy to install.

Speaking of installation, I highly recommend getting yourself an AR wrench or “AR Tool,” depending on who is writing the product descriptions at your favorite Airsoft or Firearms retailer. That’s right. The same tool you use on real AR platforms will also work on your Airsoft platforms, and in this case, along with many other cases of external parts installations, the AR wrench is extremely useful. As you can see below, the MadBull Troy TRX RIS comes with a barrel nut with all those spikey things around it. While you can use a big ol’ regular wrench, you can run the risk of damaging the barrel nut and possible other parts of your rifle near it.

Once you’ve got the barrel nut wrenched onto the upper receiver of your AEG nice & tight, not forgetting to align it properly in case you have a mock gas tube to deal with, you can go ahead and just slide the rail onto the barrel nut and tighten it down with the two included screws underneath the rail, at the base where the rail meets your upper/lower assembly.

You’ll also need to decide where you’d like to attach each of the three included Picatinny rail pieces. All those circular holes on the rail not only help to reduce unnecessary weight of the rail, but they also act as rows of attachment points for your Picatinny rail pieces. The usual way to go is to attach one piece to each side of the big rail.

As you can see below, I’ve attached one in the 9 o’clock position, one in the 1 o’clock position, and (pictured above), the third piece was installed on the bottom in the 6 o’clock position for the attachment of a vertical foregrip (vert grip). Your Strike Industries Cobra handgrips will also work very well here also.

Troy trades. Note the two small screws I mentioned earlier, underneath. That’s a MadBull Noveske CQB outer barrel, by the way.

Finally, just a few glam shots to show you an idea of how you can configure your accessories using the MadBull Troy TRX RIS as your platform. Now that I’ve had a chance to stare at these images for awhile, I’ll be the first to acknowledge that this configuration probably needs to be REconfigured. I’m just not sold on that dual pressure switch being on the top rail. It probably needs to switch places with that PEQ box. If you haven’t picked up on it already, this first image is a Top View. Shoutout to the new MadBull Delta P Design Brevis 5.56 Mock Suppressor.
